Developing Good Breathing Mechanics and Dynamics:

The Secret to Success for Breathing Retraining and Health

The Buteyko Breathing Technique and other breathing-retraining strategies we teach are an alternative approach and are not the practice of medicine, psychology, or a form of psychotherapy, nor are they a substitute for seeking medical or psychological advice from an appropriate professional health-care provider. We want to make the important distinction between using the Buteyko Breathing Technique and other breathing-retraining strategies for health and well-being and the practice of medicine, psychology or any other licensed health-care profession.

Learn the basic principles of healthy breathing and start practicing them right away in a supportive group setting.

We will spend some time developing the skills of

  • Nose breathing at rest and slight exertion
  • Belly/diaphragmatic breathing
  • Best posture for optimal breathing
  • Quiet, invisible, slow breathing
The actual techniques taught in breathing-retraining classes assume proficiency in the basic breathing skills that will be presented here.  You may see an improvement in your health and reaction to stressful situations just by concentrating on these basics!

Wear comfortable clothes and bring a towel or yoga mat so you can sit and lie down on the floor.  Please eat a light breakfast and then don't eat anything after 8:30 a.m. the day of class.

This workshop is not on our current Schedule.  However, if you're interested in it, let us know!
