Here's an interesting article by Danielle Hark, that was also published in Huffington Post.

It was recommended to her that she do controlled-breathing exercises for anxiety and to quiet her active mind, but she was finding it hard to even sit down and do it for 5 minutes at a time!  So she put together this playlist and created an enjoyable break rather than a chore.

Whatever it takes.  I felt similarly for a while -- quieting down brought up all the emotions I "didn't have time to feel" so I didn't want to do it.  Then I started working with a Frolov device that allows me to listen to audio books and lectures while I increase my respiratory fitness.

We're living in a much different environment than Dr. Buteyko..  His research lab was in Sibera, is my understanding, for most of his career!  His patients were probably mostly understimulated, not overstimulated!  I'm eager to talk to older Buteyko educators who were alive longer pre-Internet for their opinions.

Meanwhile, here's Danielle's playlist:

1. Keep Breathing – Ingrid Michelson
2. Breathe In Breathe Out – Mat Kearny
3. Breathe – Alexi Murdoch
4. Air That I Breathe – K.D. Lang
5. Breathe – Télépopmusik
6. Breathe In – Frou Frou
7. Breathing – Kate Bush
8. Take My Breath Away – Berlin
9. Breathe – Taylor Swift feat. Colbie Caillat
10. Breathe (2 AM) – Anna Nalick
